I read your blog very carefully since I found it today. As I am looking for an affordable track car (and aimed an Z3) and am an engineer also, I am sticked to your very analytical blog.
Only thing I have to say that I do not thing that the rear wing fixations are 100% optimal design. Just mentioning that because I am doing weight / load optimized structures ;)
Thanks for the comments- glad you're liking the blog! You're correct- there is still a bit more work to be done on the rear wing. I'm currently re-writing this blog and I will pay a lot more attention to the design of the rear wing, so check back soon! How is your project going?
Could you post a lot more detail about aerodynamic under the car, especially back and bumper area?
Thanks for the comment. I plan to redo the whole blog this year, so will go into a lot more detail in this area if yourself and others are interested.
